🔤 Prefixes (go before)

  • un- = not (unhappy, unfair)
  • re- = again (rewrite, rebuild)
  • dis- = not/opposite (disagree, dislike)

🔤 Suffixes (go after)

  • -ful = full of (hopeful, careful)
  • -less = without (hopeless, endless)
  • -ing = doing now (playing, singing)
💡 Tip: Prefixes go at the START of a word. Suffixes go at the END. Think about what makes sense!
